Fights broke out among rival gang members on Carson Beach in South Boston yesterday and spilled out across the city, triggering a massive law enforcement response from at least five agencies to stem the violence.

Police said the gang members are part of a group of more than 1,000 youths who have used social media sites like Facebook to plan unruly gatherings on the beach on three of the past four nights. The beach falls under the jurisdiction of the State Police, who have been unable to prevent the violence.

Yapılan testlerde iPad 2 ve iPhone 4 ekranlarının DPI farkına rağmen ‘neredeyse eş’ olduğu ortaya çıkmış
iPad 2‘nin ekranı piksel yoğunluğu ile iPhone 4’ünkine yaklaşmasa da, DisplayMate‘in raporuna göre bazı yönlerden oldukça iyi ve ‘neredeyse eş bir performans’ sunuyor.DisplayMate, iPad 2’nin ekranında bazı testler yaparak onu iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS ve diğer Apple ürünleriyle karşılaştırmış. DisplayMate’in vardığı sonuç ise şu: iPad 2’nin inç başına düşen 132 piksellik piksel yoğunluğu (PPI), iPhone’un 326 PPI yoğunluğu yanında düşük kalsa da aynı renk derinliğine sahip ve testlerde benzer sonuçlar vermiş. Apple’ın bazı yazılım güncellemeleriyle geliştirmeler sağlayabileceği de belirtiliyor.
Cihazın daha iyi işlemcisi ve grafik donanımı sayesinde geliştiricilerin antialiasing kullanarak yavaşlığa neden olmadan objelerin kenarları daha yumuşak hale getiriliebilir.
DisplayMate’in testlerinde ortaya çıkan diğer sonuçlar ise iPad 2’nin ekranının parlaklığının iPhone 4’den daha düşük olduğu; ancak beyaz seviylerinde iPhone 4’den daha başarılı olduğu dikkat çekiyor. Bunun yanında 30 dereceden bakıldığında iPad 2’nin okunabilirliğinin de iPhone 4’den biraz daha iyi olduğu farkedilmiş.
